Playing basketball
I like playing basketball because we made it into the final.
The team I liked the most that we played against was the teachers team because one of the teachers were funny.
We can’t wait to play the basketball finals this Friday.

Going to the Warriors
We went to the Waiwera Hot Pools on the way to Auckland. In the morning we went to Sylvia Park and watched Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix. After that we went shopping. Finally it was time to go and watch the warriors.
It was an awesome game to watch because there were thousands of people and we saw some more of the Warrior players.
We also got to meet Ruben Wiki who we got the tickets from to go to the game. We wanted to meet all the rest of the team but we couldn’t because they were doing their exercises.

Rugby World Cup 2007
We are learning about the rugby teams and studying the different Pools which are A, B, C & D. It was exciting to watch parts of the rugby game. We watched the All Blacks because the All Blacks had lots of tries and conversions. I hope the All Blacks win the World Cup in Paris, France.

♥♥♥KC Report♥♥♥

Period 1

We walked to maths class with Mr Yates, we did a little bit of maths work, and then we played some maths puzzles. Arihia and I was a pair so was Leanne and Beverly. Sandy was by himself. We finished our puzzles. Leanne and Beverly came 1st, Sandy came 2nd and Arihia and I came 3rd.

Period 2

After maths we went to English class with Mrs Whitehorn. We started our asTTle writing test. Leanne and I are writing about “A great day out?” But it’s impossible because it isn’t a good day, it will be raining and thunder in the afternoon. When we finished our test we have to make sure it makes sense then we hand it to Mrs Whitehorn. Matua Teimana told us we have to go to the Library because Uncle Bundy isn’t here today.

Period 3
We went to the library with Matua Teimana. We had to study science before our test in Period 4. It’s hard to remember everything. When we finished revising science, we read some books.

Period 4
My last period for the day at Kaitaia College is Science, we had two tests, one was Chemical Reactions and the other was Mountains to the Sea but I reckon they will be hard.

Period 5
Rererangi and I went to see Mr Tom Besson for Speech Therapy. I am learning about doing lots of talking through having conversations.

♥♥♥GLORY ROAD♥♥♥

The story is about a basketball game in 1965-66. The name of the school is Texas Western College. Their Coach Don Haskins is the first coach to field a starting line-up of Black and White. Coach Don spoke to the black people who would like to play basketball. There is a basketball training season beginning; they had lots of training on court. Coach said to Bobby Joe Hill you'll play basketball my way. My way is hard. Bobby Joe Hill told him do you want me to get you a skirt? I'll get you a skirt if you keep playing like a girl!. But the coach gives them lots of running and they didn’t listen to the coach. He had learnt through personal experience that African American players were given an equal opportunity to play in college. The black people went to the party without their coach. When they got there, they said they looked like a Mexican but the Mexican people don’t like their colour or voice. Next morning the black players were so tired. But their coach knew what was going on. Both African American and white players showed great teamwork and many acts of great courage. They played the semi-final but it was tied. The other teams coach always called Time out! Before the final, Don rang the boys to come to the court, he decided to play just his 7 black players in the final game. Next day they played against Kentucky. Later Willie Cager’s mum asks his coach to please let her son play for even if its 5 minutes or 5 seconds. He was one of the best players. In the end they won the championship against Kentucky. The coach was happy and proud of his players on his team.
